Therapy Abroad

Speech Language Pathology Opportunities Available.
Therapy Abroad offers a two week experience in Belize where undergraduate students can shadow 20 hours with ASHA certified SLP's, learn and practice ABA Therapy, and get hands on experience in research, screening, and treatment. Students can increase their skills of intercultural communication gain a better understanding of global social change, and in social issues. Therapy Abroad is a two week program over the summer. In some instances participants can gain college credit for their experience.

Occupational Therapy Opportunities Available.

International Service Learning is a faculty directed medical mission trip to Panama and Costa Rica every summer. Trips are 2 weeks long and offer a great opportunity to get hands-on clinical experience while serving impoverished communities. Occupational Therapy shadowing opportunities and hands on therapy experience. Several members of our club have participated in this educational experience.

Clemson FIMRC

FIMRC stands for The Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children. FIMRC Is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving pediatric and maternal health in the developing world. FIMRC currently operates in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, India, Peru, and Uganda. Volunteers can go for as long as they want starting at one week.
